What is the name for the host organism in which a cloning vector is placed?

The four choices are plasmid, virus, donor, and transgenic organism. I'm pretty sure it's not a plasmid or virus. Is it a transgenic organism?

Also, how has gene therapy been used to treat cystic fibrosis but not cure it?

Thanks!

What is the name for the host organism in which a cloning vector is placed?
First of all, the cloning vector is the plasmid itself.

Second, donor is the cell that is giving the DNA

Your answer is Trangenic organism because you are adding foreign DNA to it
