What is the name of the myth where thetis dips achilles in the river styx?
The only source for the famous Achilles' Heel origin was a preserved fragment of Achilleis, an incomplete poem written by Statius in the !st Cent. AD. Publius Papinius Statius is a Roman poet of the Silver Age of Latin Literature.

About the death of Achilles in the hands of Paris, Paris actually aimed for the heart but the god Apollo guided the arrow to the heel of Achilles. My research on this have only yielded that it was a joint work of Homer and Aeschylus. All the time I thought that it was from the Iliad.
Reply:The Achilleid is an epic that told the story of the early life of Achilles, including his dipping in the river Styx.

Paris shoots Achilles dead in the lost epic called the Aethiopis.

Both of these events fall outside the story told by Homer in the Iliad.
