What is the name of a bush/tree with purple flowers hanging like grapes?

How hard is this bush/tree to take care of? The plant itself looks like a grape vine but more barklike cover than a grape vine would have. I have seen it growing up walls and also growing by itself as a bush or small tree

sounds like a wisteria. i would imagine it is easly to grow because it is a weed growing in the forests. this weed though is actually nice looking with flowers

Reply:It is called wisteria. Its not hard at all to grow in fact you can get a root and plant it. It is pretty overtaking though as a vine. Pretty easy to take care of too. If you plant a vine just make sure whatevet you grow it on is strong so the vine wont rip it down. Ours took a few years to grow full from a root and each year now we have to prune it back some. We also tied to vine to steel rods we put on our wood wall so it wouldnt pull the wall down. Good Luck they are beautiful.
