What is the name of a medical marijuana alternative?

My friend was perscribed pain killers which he says have thc (the chemical in marijuana) in them, an alternative for medical marijuana (since medical marijuana is illegal). Whats this pill called? Is he telling the truth? He said it was called hydrochlorine or something, but I'm pretty sure he's remembering the name wrong.

hes a liar. there round yellow/orange balls called marinol....he probably got hydrocodone, which has a small amount of opium in it
Reply:there is a pill called marinol out there that is suppose to have a derivative of thc in it. they prescribe it as an appetite stimulator for most people. however, it is synthetic (man-made) so it is not real. better and cheaper to get the real stuff...
Reply:I have heard of one called Marinol, I think it was the original on the market.
Reply:tetrahydrocannibanal, a.k.a., chronic 2 toke ghanj
Reply:Cannabis, also known as marijuana or ganja (Hindi: गांजा gānjā), is a psychoactive product of the plant Cannabis sativa. The herbal form of the drug consists of dried mature flowers and subtending leaves of pistillate ("female") plants. The resinous form, known as hashish, consists primarily of glandular trichomes collected from the same plant material.

The major biologically active chemical compound in cannabis is Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), commonly referred to as THC.

Dronabinol is used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy in people who have already taken other medications to treat this type of nausea and vomiting without good results. Dronabinol is also used to treat loss of appetite and weight loss in people who have acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Dronabinol is in a class of medications called cannabinoids. It works by affecting the area of the brain that controls nausea, vomiting, and appetite.
Reply:Right off the top of my head, I'd say:

THC

Tetrahydrocannabinol
