What is the name of the God that when it gets knocked down, it becomes stronger?

In the movie 'The Great Debaters' One of the kids says something about a God that when he gets knocked down, he becomes stronger.


Does anybody know the name of that god?

It wasn't a god, it was a giant named Antaeus whom in the end Hercules could kill only by picking him up and strangling him overhead...yeah

Reply:It was not a god, but the child of a god. Honestly ,I cannot remember the name, but the story is that as long as hie feet touched the earth he was stronger. In order to defeat him Hercules had to pick him up off the ground and do away with him. Sorry but i can't remember the name, but i hope tis helps someone else remember it for you. Good luck!
