The Diner Scene with Bella and her father was shot at Carver Cafe near the Clackamas River.

your friend is probably not in that area of the US because twilight was not shot in forks, washington, even though that's a real place. it was shot all over, and if you want to find out the exact locations, you can either...
a) read the credits or
b) go to IMDB and search twilight. it will list the places used, as they have to credit them. i've done this before, trust me ;)
