What is the name of this device sold in radioshack?

The two end of this wire get plugged in to two inputs in the computer where one is audio and the other is microphone. This is used to record any sound without having to put a microphone in front of the speaker.

Can anyone please tell me what this device is called?

I think you are talking about a male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm stereo wire. This will allow you to take a signal from the sound card output and send it to the line-in input. If I understand what you are doing, there is a much easier way of doing it. Release 11.5 of dbpoweramp includes a program called "aux. input." It allows you to record to mp3, wma, mp4, etc whatever you system mixer is playing. It works the same way but without the need for additional hardware. dbpoweramp is free and here is the link to version 11.5: http://www.pcauthority.com.au/downloads....

Good luck.
Reply:It sounds like you want to ask for a patch cable to patch audio out to microphone in or line in.
