What's the name of the chart shown on cnbc that predicts changes in the market based on star alignment?

It doesn't predicts direction, just changes. I cannot remember the name of it. I will vote a best answer, I just need an answer.

What's the name of the chart shown on cnbc that predicts changes in the market based on star alignment?
It's probably called "Complete and Utter Nonsense" or "Quackery."

Reply:Whatever it's called, it's useless. Only a fool would make stock market decisions based on star alignments.
Reply:I agree with Geoff G's answer, with one minor detail I think that should be added.

The market is highly sensitive to speculation. If there are enough investors that pay attention to such a chart, it becomes a "self-fullfilling prophecy" of sorts. Meaning, if everyone thinks the market is going to suddenly change dramatically on Tuesday at 3:31 P.M., and execute numerous trades according to that belief, much of the market will change around that time.

Once upon a time, a stock went *up* if it had a good business model, belong to a company that had excellent products/services, or had a legitimate future. Now, any random stock can skyrocket in value, simply due to unfounded popularity. A few companies that became notorious in and around 2002-03 might remind you of this process.
