I saw this movie a long time ago and can't remember the name of it. He kills his family and leaves the bodies in the living room. Their bodies are found days later.

This reminds me of one of those "true crime" shows maybe the original "Unsolved Mysteries" about a man that murdered his entire family and ran off but they found him years later after a forensic artist did a sculpture of what he would look like after years in hiding.
