What is the name of the song during morning colors?

I am with Young Marines and all i know it that colors are played during the rising of the flag and lowering of the flag..but i cant find it on the net. what is the actual song?

What is the name of the song during morning colors?
I think you mean Reveille. I included a few links. Hope they help.

By the way, the tune played at the close of the duty day, and at funerals is Taps.
Reply:mpltmiller is right of course. Retreat is played at the end of the duty day and taps is played before lights out or at funerals. Bad choice of words there. Thank you for setting that straight. Report Abuse

Reply:It's an old bugle call 'To the colors'
Reply:In the morning, the National Anthem should be played while rasing the flag slowly. It timed properly the flag should be at the top just before the ending. In the evening, The navy doesn't play music while lowering the flag, 1 whistle blast, and the flag is brought down quickly, 3 whistle blasts it should be complete. The Navy also does taps at 10p.m. and there is no music. On ship the Petty officer of the watch gets on the general announcing system and says:

"Taps Taps, lights out, the smoking lamp is out, maintain silence about the decks, now Taps"
Reply:Well not 100% sure about marines but the airforce and army plays Taps.. well revilly is the morning wake up call...
Reply:Reveille is the song played in the morning

But Taps is NOT played at the end of the day Retreat is the song played at the end of the day.
Reply:Reveille in the morning, taps at night.
